I bought a brand new Wrangler in 2020. In winter of 2022 the aux battery failed and it was replaced under warranty. In the summer of 2024 just as the manufacturer's warranty was expiring, the aux battery, main battery and alternator died simultaneously while on a road trip in North Carolina and I had all 3 replaced at a Jeep dealership. A month ago the alternator died again while on a roadtrip. The voltage suddenly dropped to 12.7 and the red battery light came on, exactly how it died in NC. I immediately found the nearest Jeep dealership and took it there where they diagnosed a dead alternator. This happened on a Thursday but the following Tuesday afternoon they called to tell me that the alternator was on back order so it could be a couple of weeks before I got my car back. 2 days later they called to say the alternator was supposedly replaced and to come pick up my car. On the way home it charged normally (13.1-14.3v) for about an hour but then it dropped to 12.7 and never moved, at all, the entire 2 hour ride home. The next day I turned it on and took it for a test drive and again it showed normal voltage but after a while it went straight to 12.7. I took it right back to my home dealership and asked them to fix it. They kept it almost 3 weeks and when I got it back it showed good voltage. 24 hours later it is back to the 12.7 again.... what can I do here? The dealership, Stellantis and Mopar customer service refuse to work with me and make excuses for the same failing components instead of fixing the root cause of the issue.
