Essentially what the title implies. In the original of the Remake of DC2, Maggy was the deciding vote between Lake(who wanted Karol gone) and Rosa(who preferred James be gone), and chose Karol. In this timeline, shell be chosing James instead.

What makes me more interested in doing this over one where James and Karol can actually work together is that 1. James goes in Episode 2, and i cant really see another way where he realistically goes early, and 2. It keeps Karols and Aidens dynamic going, which is the one plot i wish we got a little more of, both in the Beta and (at least in some way although itd be very hard) in the Remake.

Anyway, lets begin!

Episode 2: Not much to say, Maggy chooses James, we cut to the elimination, and in a 5-1 vote(as i assume Aiden and Karol voted him in canon since it was James and Karol in the bottom 2. Doesnt matter if it wasnt since James, Karol and Aiden arent working together so hed go anyway here), James is eliminated. Karol gives out to him and makes James mad as he leaves in a huff. Maggy has her original confessional, except shes a bit apprehensive over making the right choice as opposed to the original since Karol was targeting Lake. Aiden is defeated like the original, except now hes just going to try and convince Karol it wasnt his idea and at least stop the beef between them.

Episode 3: Only pre-challenge event Im gonna include is Aiden trying to make amends with Karol, but given what happened last episode and Karol really doesnt seem like someone whod forgive and forget, i dont see her wanting to talk to him. For the challenge, i dont think Karol would be so abrasive that shed fail for the team. As seen in Episodes 1 and 2, she is a team player even if she has an attitude. So even if she doesnt want to do the kissing or complimenting, i see her reaction being somewhat similar to Aidens with Hunter and James, where he did it but was very annoyed about it. Since it doesnt matter as i see Karol doing it regardless, i think for thematic reasons ill say Karol and Aiden have to insult each other, accelerating especially Karols dislike. In any case, Yul still costs the challenge for his team as i dont see anything else changing, and Kai and Connor go like in the original.

Episode 4: Riya still gets the swap ticket, so during the challenge i still think shed swap Yul and Rosa as theres no reason not to. In the original, James lost the challenge for his team because he wouldnt admit to his secret of only having his sister as a friend growing up. Since nobody else refused to reveal their secret, im gonna have to assume it would be Karol because i have no reason to believe it would be anyone else. So Orange Team goes to elimination again. Since Aiden would know he still needs an alliance as, for example, if Yul gets eliminated, Aiden would realise that the team would be 2v2, and given this new version of Aiden i think hed have the forethought to realise this, since he had the forsight to see Lake, Rosa ans Maggy are a threat. So, hed go up to Karol and propose they work together. Karol, again, would refute him, but after two episodes of Karol not budging, and being desperate enough, he would offer his vote to her in an attempt to make amends. Karol would be a little surprised but would agree, considering even if she doesnt like him she was shown to be somewhat strategic on her return via manipulating Aiden, so i think shed agree with this. Wed get a confessional similar to Karols Episode 2 confessional about Aiden, except its significantly less pleasant in his favour. For the vote, Lake and Maggy obviously vote Yul, Yul votes Maggy(originally it was James' idea to make an alliance with Yul, so without James here and with the idea that i think Karol and Aiden would both dislike Yul, Aiden in the original and Karol because of the comment Yul made on the bus in Episode 1 as i have no doubt that comment made Karol have a bad opinion of him. So Yul votes alone here). On her return, Karol immediately wanted to target Lake despite being mad at James and Aiden because that was the person she originally wanted gone first. So because Lake is still here, i still see Karol targeting her over Yul. This leads to a 2-2-1 vote where Yul and Lake are in a tiebreaker. Since Yul was in this tiebreaker in canon and won, im going to lean to Yul winning this against Lake, though like all the DC2 what ifs this is random as so a split path can happen here like with all of the what ifs. But here, im just going to say Yul wins the tie. This eliminates Lake, who says to Maggy to say hi to Rosa for her(like Maggy did in canon but its significantly less of a pleasant conversation since Lake is likely going to return to her parents).

Episode 5: When it comes to the immunity idol, Yul would still find the mushroom, Aiden and Karol would be searching together(probably where Aiden and James were in canon. Though i can see Karol forcing her way since she can see she can just push Aiden around), but i have no reason to believe Rosa and Riya dont find the idol. For the challenge, its pretty hard to know as Lake isnt here to cost the challenge for her team, but im going to say Karol does the same thing Lake does, standing up to Kristal and costing her team the challenge, as it fits with her character(shes done it before with costing her team an advantage in Episode 1), and it doesnt really matter for a main reason. Since Yul still found the mushroom as originally it was him and James who found it whilst looking for the idol, but since Yul was here in canon i think hed still be here to get the mushroom. So Yul now poisons someone, and between the people on his team or even on the other team... cmon, its obviously Maggy. Yul has a really big distaste for Maggy in this season so hed absolutely poison her. He only tried to poison Aiden in canon because he wanted to see Lakes bald head and Aiden was the last option. But since there are more options than just Aiden, i dont think Yul tries to poison him, and instead tries to poison Maggy. And since James isnt here to swap the bowls, and i dont think any of Aiden, Karol or Maggy would notice, Yul would get away with this. So regardless which team loses the challenge, Maggy would have to be medevaced in the same way Yul was in canon. So she would be eliminated.

Episode 6: Pairs that can stay the same will stay the same. So Ally and Tess and Riya and Rosa. For the other pairs, i dont see why Kristal wouldnt pair Aiden and Karol, so that leaves Yul and Hunter. Since i doubt Hunter would be able to pull Yul away or make him wake up earlier, and he himself got second in canon even with travelling with Ally and Tess, i think Ally and Tess get the advantage like in canon. Next would probably be Rosa and Riya, and since i can see Yul being like how James was implied in this episode(not getting up early) i think Hunter and Yul come last. Not that it matters as this episode is a non elimination.

Episode 7: I see pretty early that Ally and Tess would show their advantage to Hunter, and theyd start to question whether they really need Yul, as they have an advantage and can tie regardless assuming the other 4 vote together. Since they originally saw Yul as a buffer for votes, or at least Hunter did, and i see a way in which Ally would agree with this, i assume theyd come to the idea of voting with him for now, but wouldnt show him the advantage as they are mainly using him as a shield. For the groups, Tess, Ally, Rosa and Aiden are all still here for one side, so that just puts Yul and Karol on the other side. Given James wasnt a super important player here, and i see Yul and Karol being decent at this challenge, im gonna say Yul, Karol, Riya and Hunter move on. Since Lake was eliminated in Yuls place and Karol in James', ill put Yul against Hunter and Karol against Riya. Since Yul is around James' height and build, and James originally felt the pole wabbling, Yul would do what James did, jumping to Hunters pole and causing them both to fall. This leaves Riya vs Karol as the last two here. I really dont know between these two who would be better at this challenge, but considering in the very next episode, Karol managed to hunt down and capture every camper, its safe to assume shes decently fast, so would likely get to the rings before Riya. Since shed have a head start due to that, ill say Karol wins the challenge. For the vote, Yul, Hunter, Tess and Ally probably vote Riya, as Hunter, Tess and Ally want to use Yul as a shield until they have the direct majority, and Yul easily would target Riya due to having the most beef with her. For the other 4, i do think they vote together, and obviously itd be against Yul. This is because in the original, Riya and Rosa(and Lake) met up with James and Aiden to create a majority alliance. They wouldnt be a majority in this timeline, but itd still be the best chance they have in order to not get picked off. And they target Yul because... obvious. None of them like him and they have no reason to target any of the other three. This leads to a 4-4 vote between Yul and Riya, and i have no idea whod win in a tie. I do think this tie would be an actual tie and not something like RPS, as Kristal has had 3 episodes to come up with a better tiebreaker. As said in other what ifs, tiebreakers/returns etc tend to be more physical, with the only one that can be considered more mental being the most recent one between(DC5 spoiler) >! Alec and Tom !<. In a physical tiebreaker, im unsure who would win between Riya and Yul. However, because Yul has never fared very well in physical challenges without a massive support, whereas we do know that Riya can do well alone in physical challenges(e.g. the Episode 1 challenge where she beat Oliver in a foot race, or the DCAS challenge where she beat Ellie) and would now get some support, i think ill cut Yul here. It could be either but i think Riya is more likely to win a physical tie.

Episode 8: When it comes to whos the night butcher, i think itd be James. Whilst this feels cheap, the only reason i possibly can believe that Kristal would return Karol is that she can stir up some conflict. Of those eliminated so far(barring Yul who was just eliminated therefore i dont think hed be a consideration as it feels unfair) James is the only one i see filling that role. I dont really know if James could catch everyone, but mostly everyone here isnt very physical aside from Karol who i think hed target first. So James would win the challenge. As for who gets eliminated, i think James, given how early he went out, would wanna stick it to Karol for eliminating him. So similar to Karol in canon, hed go to Hunter, Ally and Tess, asking them if theyd be fine targeting Karol, which they definitely would. As for the other 4, i think theyd still vote together, likely against Tess, since Tess would probably still overhear how the target is on Ally and like the original would try and convince Rosa(this doesnt matter). However, with Karol having been the winner of the previous challenge, i think Ally would use her advantage, as they previously lost Yul in the last tiebreaker, and since she has no reason to believe anyone in her group would be good enough at challenges to beat Karol, she would use the vote advantage to block Aiden, thus leading to Karols elimination 4-3. Unlike Karol though, i dont think James would be mad at Aiden, given he was the one to turn on Karol, and hed also want to use Aiden for clout like the original. Hed just want Karol gone because he doesnt like her.

Episode 9: To begin with, James would be trying to get close to Aiden to grow his followers like he did early on but was cut short. Aiden would be much more sceptical of this as James returned and got Karol out, but since James is currently the swing vote, Aiden would go along with it to hopefully get James' vote. For the challenge, since Rosa is still here and i dont see Tess doing better than Rosa, she would still get first. Hunter and Ally and James and Aiden can go the same(but with James and Aiden, Aiden would now be the one pulling James to both get his vote and because James would be on tiktok like he was in the first two episodes), which leaves Tess with Riya. Not that it matters since Rosa would still win and pick Riya, leaving Tess with Oliver. As such, i dont see why the result of Hunter winning without Ally would change. However, since nobody would be medically injured like Karol originally, there would be a double elimination here. Hunter, Tess and Ally likely vote Rosa with Ally trying to convince Riya like the original, and Hunter trying to convince James. Riya, Aiden and Rosa vote Tess due to Tess convincing Rosa to get them to vote her. James is a difficult pick between Rosa and Tess, but since hes never had an opinion on Tess whereas i can imagine premerge he and Rosa didnt really get along(given Rosa swapped in Episode 4 and she was shown not to like James in Episode 2 they mustve had some friction), i think James would vote Rosa. As for whether Rosa would use her totem, since she wouldve seen James and Aiden getting along, the most i see her thinking is that Riya is the target, but even then i dont think itd be enough for Rosa to use her totem because assuming James votes with them its a 4-3. So Rosa gets eliminated 4-3 here, giving Riya her totem before she leaves. As for the second elimination, since Kristal mentioned this had to be a double, shed mention that now. Given James has been using Aiden for clout, and Aiden would be very mad at him for flipping, James either votes Riya or votes Ally alongside Aiden and Riya(i dont see Aiden voting James because even though hes mad hed realise that if he voted James hes effectively splitting the votes which gives the other 3 an easy way through). But since Riya would likely understand shed be the next target, and knows James is possibly not voting with them, shed use Rosas totem on herself here, sending Ally home 2-0, 3-0 or 2-1-0(no idea who James would vote), as Tess wouldnt have enough time to convince the others to vote her over Ally.

Episode 10: Since Hunter has an ally still in the game in Tess, who wouldnt care if she or Hunter wins, and originally won a 4v1(admittedly whilst everyone was distracted but its not like he was helpless before this point), im gonna give Hunter the win. This means Aiden and Riya vote Tess(James is the middle vote by now, so targeting him would be useless), and Tess and Hunter vote Riya as the bigger threat. As for James' vote, he doesnt know Riya or Tess, so he can vote either way, but i imagine Aiden would be mad at him flipping and getting Rosa and Karol out, and given we know that in-universe the contestants can watch the show from Connor, i think James wouldve seen the show and thus his change from being an influencer is sped up a little here, he doesnt have many feelings for Aiden right at this point but for now, hes stopped using his phone as much, and feels bad for making him as mad as he is. So overall, im gonna say he votes Tess as to not make Aiden mad. This eliminates Tess 3-2.

Episode 11: Despite having the same cast, 3 of these characters have a change. The first is Aiden, who isnt as into James as the original, since 1. Hes spent less time with him and 2. Hes more sceptical of James' intentions, not as in he knows about James' using him for clout, but because he returned. Second is Riya, who isnt gonna be going evil here, as 1. Without her betraying Lake and Rosa she has less reason to believe things will work out, 2. She wasnt influenced by Karol and 3. Her plan of making it to the final 2/3 doesnt work anymore since shes used Rosas idol, so breaking up James and Aiden wouldnt work, both because they arent as close, and because she doesnt have the idol to protect her. Finally, theres James, who is more in the middle of his change of becoming a better person rather than being in love with Aiden, since hes been on the show for less time, so even if Riya finds James' phone, it would have less of an impact to expose it. When it comes to Hunter trying to make an alliance, i actually think he goes to James over Riya since Aiden and Riya have been together longer, and James has voted with Hunter. I dont know if James would be open to this alliance, but given hes less connected to Aiden and Riya, i can see him going along with it. For the challenge, i dont see the order of jumping changing, since James would be starting to warm up to Aiden by now so pushing him off makes sense to me. However, since Riya wouldnt be breaking up Aiden and James, James would actually be competing in the second part. Riya lost with the largest ammo in canon so i doubt she wins here, and since Nina still likely dislikes Aiden or would make fun of him, i still assume Aiden would win the challenge(i dont have any reason to believe if Hunter or James would win). For the vote, since Aiden is immune, Hunter definitely votes Riya. The others are all up in the air. For Aiden he likely goes Hunter, since he is still a comp threat due to his immunity wins in Episodes 9 and 10. Riya could go either Hunter or James, but considering Aidens going Hunter and Riya has no reason to believe James is better at challenges, i think she goes Hunter. James is really hard to guess, but i think he ultimately votes Hunter, since hes starting to warm up to Aiden, and i dont think hed disobey Aiden again considering how mad he got before. So Hunter goes 3-1.

Episode 12: For supporters, Aiden gets Karol, Hunter, Tess, Ally. Karol is obvious as they bonded better in this timeline(and i dont see her going for Riya or James. Shes barely met Riya here, and definitely not James), Hunter just got betrayed by James to some extent and has been pit against Riya since they were on the same team(also Riya took Ally out), Tess and Ally because Hunters here. Riya gets Rosa, Maggy, Lake, Kai, Connor. Connor is obvious. Rosa is because she never betrayed Rosa here and shes bonded with Riya better. Maggy and Lake because theyre Rosas friends. Kai because he likes Maggy. Finally, James' supporters are just Yul, since Yul didnt get poisoned by James in this timeline, and Aiden and Riya voted him out so James is the only option. This gives Aiden probably Karol, Riya Connor and James... Yul is the only option. For the first part, Riya wouldnt play dirty against Aiden, and between Karol and Connor, id be more inclined to say Karol and Aiden take the lead since Aiden weighs less and Karol is probably likely to go faster than Connor. James is behind like in canon because i doubt Yul would care. I do think Riya speeds up like in canon but more so out of desperation for her wanting to win as oppose to her being villainous. So i think Riya and Connor take the lead as theyd be going faster than Karol and Aiden, but Riya wouldnt bump into Aiden and Karol. James also likely goes faster to try and catch up. Because of this, i think Riya would be just ahead of Aiden at the rock climbing, so she wouldnt attempt to throw a rock at Aiden and Connor wouldnt leave her. However, Aiden in canon was originally too scared to fly down even with Lake there. Riya wouldnt push him off, shed just fly past him to take the lead. This means Aiden doesnt fall off the cliff. Since he originally needed a push from James to jump in canon in Episode 11, and didnt even jump here, im going to say James catches up, and after clearing things up with Aiden(and they kiss, meaning theyre dating afterwards), he jumps like in canon. So Aiden is eliminated here like in canon.

Episode 13: Since Riya now has Connor, even if she slows a bit, 1. She has Connor so she wouldnt slow as much as in canon, and 2. I think itd take James a longer time to reach the top of the cliff since there isnt an urgency for James to get up, so Riya would likely get out of the cave as James enters(even though i can see the conversation between James and Aiden not being as long in this timeline, that cancels out with Riya not going as slowly as canon). For the new supporters, Karol goes on Riyas side, Aiden on James', and Hunter, Tess and Ally most likely Riyas. Shooting against James is probably Karol like canon. Shooting against Riya is Aiden as the only option(Yul is James' current supporter and in canon Rosa wasnt at the shooting part). Since Aiden knows about the gun jamming as he was the one to bring it up to Lake, hed do it here, meaning Riya gets hit the same way as the original. However, because she was much further ahead of James than in canon, and because i assume Karol, since she did in canon, would be able to hit James and either slow him down or knock him off, i think Riya would have enough time to recover and get on the bike with a slight lead over James, which means... i think Riya wins the season, albeit by a hair. So James gets second, congratulating Riya on her win since he said he respects strategy in the show, and she was far better in this timeline.

And thats the what if. Definitely feels weird, especially for the last three episodes. But hey, ill take what i can get with some what ifs. Leave your thoughts :).

Just like my last what if, this is one ive done before but it was based on the Beta characters, not the remake ones.

I know this wasnt one that was suggested, but most of the ones that were were from DC4 or DCAS, which i wont be able to rewatch until at least July, meaning itll be a long time before i can satisfyingly do what ifs on those seasons. So while i have some free time ill focus on DC1/DC2 what ifs.

With that being said, lets begin!

Episode 3: Given what happened in the elimination, its much more clear now that Connor quitting was to save Riya. So now he isnt doing that, the revote absolutely eliminates Riya 4-2. Riya says goodbye to Connor as she leaves.

Episode 4: Since Connor and Riya had a talk at the dock in canon before the elimination, i feel like either, regardless who got eliminated, would still be here since its a reminder of where they stayed. With that being said, Connor gets the bottle with the swap advantage. Because of this, i think he uses it. For the member of his team, i think its clear itd be Yul. Tess is the only one i think could be going instead, but Connor definitely dislikes Yul more. As for who swaps with Yul, i think itd be Maggy. Riya originally swapped Rosa because she was feeling lonely and saw Rosa as the most kind person on the team, and the one shed like most(based on appearance i assume, given they didnt have interactions prior to this point). However, i dont think Connor would swap Rosa because he wouldnt have the same struggles as Riya about being alone, and because hes nice and has seen how much Yul has bullied Maggy i think hed swap her. This means Yul and Maggy swap in this timeline. As for the rest of the challenge, Maggy would probably still stand up to Kristal since that wasnt related to her being on a different team, and James still wouldnt admit to his secret meaning Orange Team goes to elimination. As for the vote, everyone is the same minus Rosa swapped with Maggy, which i dont think changes the dynamics of the vote, since James originally tricked Aiden by "talking to Lake", so Aiden still votes James, Rosa and Lake vote Yul, and between Aiden, Rosa and Lake, i think Yul and James are more likely to vote Rosa, since Yul wanted to see Lake bald in the show and cited that as a reason to vote Aiden out the next episode, and Rosa has been more antagonistic to Yul at this point in the show compared to Aiden. So the tie is now Rosa and Yul, and again, this is impossible to know. Just like with ALL DC2 what ifs that start prior to this episode, the RPS tie is impossible to know. However, since Yul originally won this tie against Maggy, im gonna give him the win as it fits better with the canon show. Again, if anyone wants a version where Yul goes out here, i might do one, but for now, im gonna eliminate Rosa here.

Episode 5: With the idol, considering Maggy defended Hunter and they became friends at the end of Episode 4, im going to say she searches with him, Tess and Ally since she doesnt have a reason to search with Connor. Because that area wasnt where the idol originally was, this likely means Connor gets the idol. Maggy takes Rosas place encouraging Lake to speak out(given how Maggy went off on Kristal when she was exposing Hunter i think this is in-character for her to take Rosas place). Since everything else is the same, Lake still loses for Orange team and Yul is eliminated in the same way.

Episode 6: Pairs are all the same, with just Maggy and Connor as a pair instead of Riya and Rosa. I have no idea whether Connor would reveal the idol to Maggy or not, but since i imagine his plotline in this universe wouldve been stretched out a bit, hed likely reveal the idol to Maggy to try and connect with her, not to be "hip and cool" since hes met Riya by now and she got him out of that, but i think hed do it to try and give her advice to keep her friends close or something idk im not witty enough to make up dialogue on the spot. Maggy accepts this and they start getting along better. As for the result, i dont see why Maggy and Connor wouldnt come in the same place as Riya and Rosa, since Ally, Tess and Hunter originally came back first, and they were all travelling together. So Ally and Tess get the advantage like in canon.

Episode 7: Lake doesnt have her new wig mainly because in the original the main reason Rosa, Lake and Riya went to Kristals production room was because they wanted to get Riyas perfume bottle back. As neither Rosa nor Riya are here i dont think this happens. Since Maggy took the place of Rosa and Connor the place of Riya, they take their places here. This makes things a lot harder to predict, since Maggy is obviously a pretty big obstacle and Connor has never been shown as physically strong like Miriam. Since this is a dodgeball challenge, Maggys size makes her more likely to fall over, meaning its more likely Maggy, Aiden, Tess and Ally lose this challenge. As for the other 4, since Connor is taking Riyas place, the rest of the challenge plays the same after James pulls Connor off the pole. So Hunter still wins immunity. As for the vote, i dont think James, Aiden, Maggy, Connor and Lake all vote together in the same way since originally Riya, Lake and Rosa all came to James and Aiden to form an alliance. Since neither Riya nor Rosa are here(who i imagine were the forefront of that plan) and are replaced with Maggy and Connor, who i dont think are nearly as strategic, i dont think the full alliance is made. I think James and Aiden vote Ally, since Aiden at this point has been seen as a strategist, and i can see him coming up with the reasoning Riya originally gave for voting Ally off. Hunter would still go and talk to Lake about voting with him, Ally and Tess, and unlike the original, Lake doesnt have a majority alliance so im conflicted how she would respond to this. I think, overall, Lake would agree as she isnt part of a majority she would be hesitant to turn against. However, i think shed say they cant vote for Aiden or Maggy as theyre her friends. This leaves James and Connor, and between the two, ill say the group targets James, as Ally has had decent interactions with Connor up to this point, and James and Aiden arent very close at this point, as Aiden has only just started to trust James again. Since Maggy has friendships with both Hunter and Lake, i think shed vote with this group, leading to a 6-2 vote eliminating James(i think Connor votes with this group as he only really has connections to Ally and Maggy).

Episode 8: Im unsure as to whether Karol would be able to get Maggy, given how shes a lot larger, but i can definitely see Maggy taking Rosas place hugging Lake so im gonna say Karol still wins. Given she originally wanted Lake gone, i can see her still going up to Hunter, Ally and Tess like the original and convincing them onto her side(Maggy is Lakes friend, Aiden thinks Karol dislikes him and would not vote Lake, and Connor and Karol have barely interacted). Because of this and Allys advantage, Lake gets eliminated 4-3.

Episode 9: Originally Karol was convincing Aiden to trust her and she doesnt mind what happened, and given Aiden only distrusted Karol after James convinced him, who isnt here now, he would fully believe her. For who wins the first part, Ally, Aiden, Karol and Hunter were here originally and didnt win. Given Tess' laid back and unmotivated nature early on, i dont think she wouldve made the best sled. And between Maggy and Connor, ill give the win to Maggy, as i dont think Connor wouldve made a very well-built or original sled in comparison to Maggy, as i dont see Connor as very crafty. So Maggy gets to go alone. For the pairs, Aiden goes with Karol, Ally with Connor and Tess with Hunter. Given how strong Maggy probably is and she has nobody, she wins the first part and gets to pick her partner, who is probably Hunter as they were the earliest friends and hes the only one she has a confirmed friendship with remaining. This means Oliver goes with Tess. As for the winning pair, im gonna give it to Maggy and Hunter because i think theyd have the most mass therefore be the fastest, and i have no reason to believe they wouldnt be coordinated enough to fail the challenge. So Maggy and Hunter win immunity. Similar to Episode 3, since this episode was originally intended as a double and Karol isnt medically evacuated anymore, Kristal wouldnt reveal the double initially. Considering Maggy does have a connection to Connor, i think Maggy, Hunter, Tess and Ally vote Aiden as none have a connection to him and i can see Karol joining this vote to get back at Aiden. And since Connor doesnt have a reason to believe Aiden would be targeted right now(plus i can see Maggy pulling him in on the vote), Aiden gets eliminated in a 6-1. As for the second elimination, since Karol has already got rid of the two people she wanted to get back at, i think she flips as the trio of Huntessally is now half the cast remaining and i can see Karol being strategic enough to see this. This results in Karol, Maggy and Connor voting Tess(Maggy has a connection to Hunter, Connor has one with Ally), whilst Hunter, Ally and Tess would vote Connor as they dont think Karol would flip. However, i think Connor would use his idol on himself, as Maggy is immune and Karol hasnt been shown to flip, meaning Tess is eliminated 3-0.

Episode 10: Since Hunter originally won this challenge in canon, and he now has Ally to help him, he definitely wins immunity. As for the vote, Connor and Karol probably vote Ally as their best chance of continuing(i know i said Connor has a connection to Ally, but i think Karol could 1. convince him and 2. He has just as close a bond to Ally as he does to Maggy). Hunter and Ally meanwhile likely vote Karol, and i dont see why that wouldnt be an appealing option to Maggy. So regardless Karol is out 3-1-1 or 3-2.

Episode 11: Ally has a fear of heights and Hunter probably goes back to help her, so Ally does the first jump like Aiden in canon. As Maggy is faster than Connor, she jumps the highest and Connor the second highest, giving Hunter the third spot. So Maggy gets watermelons, Connor gets pineapples, Hunter gets grapefruits and Ally gets the small objects Aiden got in canon. Since we know Ally is a gamer its reasonable to believe shes played FPS games, and since Hunter didnt win in canon and i have no reason to believe Maggy or Connor would be good at this challenge, Ally wins. This pretty easily eliminates Connor, since Maggy likes both Hunter and Connor and even in a tie itd be a 50/50 Hunter wins. So just on the safe side, ill give Connor the boot.

Episode 12: Supporters of Maggy are Kai, Rosa, Lake, Riya, and Aiden. Supporters of Hunter are just Karol and Tess Supporters of Ally are Yul, Connor and James. Maggy would definitely pick Rosa as a helper, Hunter would pick Tess, Ally would pick Connor. For the first part, Rosa and Connor would be as good as they were in canon pretty much meaning Hunter is in the middle with Tess. This mostly stays the same for the second portion, as nobody has any reason to crash with anyone. Although i do think Hunter and Tess would overtake Ally and Connor, since i dont see either Ally or Connor going particularly fast. I also think because of this, Maggy would take the wheel over Rosa and go quickly to try and catch up, with Rosa trying to convince Maggy to slow a bit. As for the final portion, because of Allys fear of heights, i think Maggy, having caught up, wouldve made it close enough to overtake Hunter, whod be trying to help Ally, meaning Maggy gets a spot in the second part. Between Hunter and Ally, i think Hunter wouldve stayed behind to help Ally, but Ally would say Hunter is more physically capable than her, so shed make Hunter go in place of her, meaning our final 2 are Maggy and Hunter, with Hunter having a slight lead over Maggy since i think this would happen as Maggy reaches the top of the cliff, eliminating Ally in third.

Episode 13: Supporters of Maggy is everyone except Ally, James, Karol and Yul. Supporters of Hunter are Ally, James, Karol and Yul. When it comes to the golf ball part, Yul definitely goes up against Maggy, whilst its unclear whod go up against Hunter. I think ill choose Riya for this though, as shes the one on Maggys side who doesnt have a connection to Hunter. As for the diving part, i doubt much changes with Maggy and Hunter being roughly even, as neither have ever been shown as scared of things like an underwater cave and both still have their helpers. So theyre roughly even going into the last part. And from this, Yul would easily fire very hard at Maggy, and given Maggys larger size i think shed get a large amount of golf balls hititng her. Since Hunter isnt like Riya and isnt villainous, i dont see people like Connor, Aiden, Lake etc, suggesting to hit the gun to cause a large amount of golf balls to fire, since they dont have a drive to really want Hunter to lose. So with that possibility, and the fact that even if it does happen i dont think Hunter would have many more golf balls hitting him than Maggy, i think Hunter just barely snags the win over Maggy(not that it matters since from Karols elimination onward everyone was fine with each other). So Hunter wins and Maggy gets second.

Im starting to get back into this so i wanted to see if any new interesting things have come up for anyone.

You can post what ifs for any of DC1, DC2 Remake, DCAS or DC4(not DC5 as that is currently unfinished). However, for right now, if i do cover your what if, it will most likely be one of the former two, as i dont have the time currently to rewatch DCAS or DC4(exams).

With that being said, you can request what youd like.

I have already done this what if before, but that was heavily based on the Beta DC2 so i wanna go over this again since i recently rewatched the Remake.

Lets begin!

Episode 3: For the first elimination, there isnt much of note. Just like in the last what if(though more justified now we know Allys opinion on Yul), Ally switches her vote into voting off Yul. This leads to a 3-4 vote getting Yul eliminated, much to his annoyance and shock, as similar to DCAS, he degrades everyone before he leaves. As for the second elimination, its so much harder now. Originally, i had Riya, Kai and Connor vote together and Hunter, Ally and Tess vote together. I still think those groups make sense since Ally was still shown to be okay with Hunter and Tess, thus i believe she would still vote with them. And since the other three loosely voted together here anyways, i dont see why they wouldnt again. Riya, Connor and Kai have no reason to turn on each other, and the other 3 are still a threatening group. As for who is targeted, its so much harder now. I dont think Riya, Connor and Kai would vote Ally because the scene of Ally and Connor still happened here, but between Hunter and Tess its practically impossible to know. Originally, i said itd be Tess, because Connor has scenes with both Hunter and Ally. However, since Connors scene with Hunter doesnt happen anymore, its significantly harder to judge. But since Tess, especially early on, was shown to be more jaded and last episode was the first to fall asleep on the team, i still think she gets targeted over Hunter as being less useful. As for Hunter, Ally and Tess, i dont think they target Connor for the same reasons. Between Riya and Kai its hard, but ultimately ill still go with Kai since Riya hasnt done anything to make the team think to target her. And while Kais outburst at Yul was justified, it still showed he was a bit unhinged. So i still think the outcome is a tie between Kai and Tess, which still goes to RPS since in the Remake that was Kristals idea. Since i have no idea how this would go, similar to the "what if Karol was booted first" what if i did a while ago, since its impossible to know, ill say Kai gets eliminated since him going has less of an impact on the story. Again, i will do another version of this with Tess going if people are interested, but for now ill go with Kai. So Kai and Yul are eliminated here.

Episode 4: Originally Riya only got the swap ticket as she was giving herself a pep talk on the dock her and Connor were on. Its really hard to know if this still happens, since Connor is here. However, ill say it will, since we saw in Episode 3, this dock was a place Riya and Connor went to, so i imagine theyd go there again to have time to spend together before the challenge. This means they still get the swap ticket, and i imagine Riya would have it like the original. Since the team is outnumbered 3-2, i think Riya still uses it since she doesnt wanna risk Connor going and her being alone. She still likely swaps Rosa since she picked her at random canonically. As for who she swaps, i think itd be Tess. This is because i think Riya would see the value in keeping Ally as she flipped on Yul, and considering what happens to Hunter in this challenge i think Riya would feel sympathy for him. So Tess and Rosa switch teams. As for the result, given i think Connor would admit to basically anything since he seems like a nice, honest guy, the challenge still ends with James refusing to admit to his secret, meaning Orange goes to elimination. And in the vote, James definitely gets eliminated. Lake and Maggy were originally torn between him and Karol in canon, and Aiden is still mad at him. Tess is hard to know, but since i imagine James coming to her for an alliance and Tess being put off, i can see her voting him(and it doesnt matter who Tess votes since the majority is locked on James). So, in a 3-1-1, 3-2 or 4-1 vote, James is eliminated.

Episode 5: When it comes to the immunity idol, i think Rosa would search in the same area just this time without Riya. So shed still end up with the idol. Again, this challenge remains very true to the original. I dont see Connor being here changing the result, as the most i see him doing is trying to encourage Riya to not do something, and since Rosa was here in canon and didnt do that, i dont see that having a massive effect. So Lake still costs Orange Team the challenge. As for the vote, Tess votes Lake for costing the challenge. Maggy and Lake vote Tess since she swapped and theyve spent more time around Aiden. Aiden is the only questionable vote, but i think he lands on Tess. He started to bond with Lake this episode over her book, and i dont think Aiden is the type of guy(like James or Yul) who would vote out a friend of their friend, especially when theres a chance hed go into a tiebreaker(and given Maggys physical stature, i doubt hed think either him or Tess have a shot). So Tess is out in a 3-1 vote.

Episode 6: Non elimination. Kristal originally paired everyone together on her own. Riya and Rosa likely remain unchanged, since theyve had the same story, and pairing Riya with a new person would be more interesting. In the opposite vein, since Tess isnt here, i think Ally and Hunter get paired together, given a romance is starting to form. This leaves Aiden and Lake and Maggy and Connor. When Kristal comes to take Lake, Aiden would stand up to her and try and get Lake not to go, but considering Lake is still under her parents thumb at this point, i still see her going. This leaves Aiden alone. As for the other pairs, Riya was never left alone on Green Team, so i dont think her and Rosa would have a discussion about Rosa potentially going back to Lake, so I imagine, given Rosa has been shown she can be strategic given DC5 she was shown trying to make an alliance with Spencer, i think she does a similar thing here, proposing an alliance with Riya and Connor. Riya would probably accept given how nice Rosa is. As for Maggy and Connor, I have no idea. The most i can think of is Connor giving Maggy advice from his age, but other than that, make up your own idea. Since Ally and Tess originally made it back first with Hunter in second, Ally and Hunter get first and win the advantage. Riya and Rosa probably come second, Maggy and Connor third, and Aiden last like the original. Lake is allowed to stay by Kristal and the episode ends.

Episode 7: New people are Connor and Maggy in place of James and Tess. Since Maggy was on Orange Team, and Connor on Green Team, Maggy replaces James and Connor replaces Tess. I doubt Connor changes the outcome of the first part, meaning Maggy, Riya, Lake and Hunter continue. Since Maggy is a 1 to 1 swap with James, she replaces him. I cant remember exactly where James' pole was in canon, but i think it was first in the lineup. As Maggy is a lot bigger than James, i think her pole would collapse much sooner, and since i have more reason to believe that shed fall and not hit Riya, i think Riya wins that duel. And between Lake and Hunter, im gonna give the win to Lake, since i think shes stronger than this version of Hunter. Between Riya and Lake for the final part, Hunter really only won because Lake missed canonically. And since Riya isnt anywhere near as fit or skilled as i assume Hunter is, im gonna give the win to Lake. Due to the alliance between Maggy, Connor, Lake, Riya, Rosa and Aiden, they easily control the vote. And between Hunter and Ally, im gonna say they target Ally, since Hunter and Maggy have a friendship. Hunter and Ally would attempt to get Maggy on side to vote out someone else, but considering that Rosa was the one who formed the alliance, the only person i can see Maggy being willing to vote out is Aiden. And even if she did flip i think itd result in a 5-3 vote as i cant see anyone else turning on the big alliance. So Ally is eliminated here, and gives Hunter the block vote ticket.

Episode 8: Since Karol took out everyone in canon, and the only real obstacle she has now is Maggy, who i think she could eventually take out, Karol still returns to the game. Hunter and Karol then speak to (most likely) Riya as Hunter saw her(and James who isnt here now) as their ticket to get out of the bottom in Allys original elimination episode. Since Riya is mainly going along with this alliance due to strategy purposes(since thats what happened with Riya and Rosa in this timeline) and knows that if she continues working with the alliance, she will likely loose Connor and go out in at best 4th(and since i imagine Rosa wouldve still looked with Riya and Lake for her perfume), Riya would still know Rosa has the idol which is very dangerous for the merge. So with all of that being said, i think Riya flips on Lake here, and convinces Connor to do so as well(they go for Lake since that was Karols target and she can very easily blackmail them into going her way). Riya still doesnt tell Rosa that she flipped, and with Hunter using his advantage(most likely on Lake herself), Lake is sent home in a 4-3. Rosa is very confused over how this couldve happened, since if her, Aiden, Maggy, Riya and Connor voted together, it shouldve been a 5-2. Rationalising this, she realising 2 people mustve flipped, and deduces it mustve been Riya and Connor. Lake leaves okay like the original.

Episode 9: Rosa confronts Riya and Connor about flipping on Lake, with Riya defending herself and Connor by saying its a "game move". Rosa, whilst unhappy, understands this since she herself invited Riya into an admittedly unbalanced alliance. Connor promises to not betray her again, and looks at Riya, who says the same. For the challenge, i dont see why Rosa still wouldnt win the first part as i dont imagine Maggy or Connor making a better sled, and everyone else was here in canon. This gives Rosa the head start like in canon, and the others to pair up. Since Ally is gone, i imagine Hunter and Maggy pair up, since Hunter has nobody else hes really that close to. Connor goes with Riya for obvious reasons. This leaves Karol with Aiden, which i think works considering she wanted to manipulate Aiden into thinking theyre on good terms. Since Aiden was under the impression Karol was fine with him in canon until James showed him the video, and James isnt here now to do that, Aiden wouldnt sabotage Karol on the second leg. Since Rosa still won, she gets to pick her partner, who is probably Maggy since shes the only one i think shed believe she can trust. This means Oliver goes with Hunter. When it comes to whos blindfolded, i think itd be Rosa, Aiden and Connor. Connor and Rosa would due to them trusting their partner, and Karol to continue manipulating Aiden. Since Aiden wouldnt do what he did originally to Karol now, Karol wouldnt break her leg. When it comes to the winning sled, i dont think Karol and Aiden would win, since Aiden and James didnt in canon, and since Hunter somehow won when blindfolded in canon, im going to say the same here. So Hunter gets immunity. For the vote, i think Rosa, Maggy and Aiden vote Riya, since Maggy was paired with Connor in Episode 6, and Aiden doesnt think hes being manipulated. For the other 4, i think they target Aiden. Connor would have Riya stay true to her word to not betray Rosa again, and since Karol was gonna target Aiden and James at the first opportunity, she would do so here. Rosa doesnt use her idol as she thinks Riya and Connor are more likely to vote Karol than themselves given Rosas scolding at the start of this episode. So in a 4-3 vote(the three can target Riya or Karol, doesnt matter), Aiden is eliminated. Aiden is shocked and betrayed particularly by Karol, who calls it justice. Rosa also feels betrayed since Riya and Connor voted off Aiden, another person Rosa is close-ish to. Kristal would then reveal the double elimination, which was her plan before Karols medevac in canon. So now that doesnt happen, she would do another vote. However, i think this one is more fractured. After betraying Rosa twice, i think Riya and Connor would vote Karol, given neither dislike Hunter and both feel more guilty for betraying Rosa again. Connor wouldnt have realised that Aiden was also part of that group until now, and would be able to convince Riya to stay true to herself and not double down. Rosa and Maggy likely vote Connor, as i imagine theyd feel more betrayed by him, since Riya is just being strategic and Rosa and Maggy dont have a connection emotionally to her, whilst Maggy and Connor wouldve probably had something from Episode 6. Finally, Karol probably votes Rosa since i assume Riya wouldve brought up the fact Rosa had an idol to get Karol to target someone else, but since Karol had a vendetta against Aiden and Lake she wouldnt have considered this until now. And i think Hunter joins this vote since Riya and Connor are assumingly on his side, and Hunter has a friendship with Maggy. Since Rosa has been betrayed twice now, and can reasonably assume she doesnt have the numbers, i think she uses her totem, and i think she plays it on herself since Maggy has a more solid social position with Connor and Hunter. Due to this, the votes come out as 2 votes Karol, 2 votes Connor, and a nullified 2 votes on Rosa. This would result in another tiebreaker, and like other what ifs, i think Kristal after the first tie wouldve thought of another tiebreaker in case a tie happened again. Since the tiebreakers in Disventure Camp have been seen to lean more physical than mental(the DCAS tiebreaker, pretty much every tiebreaker/rejoin in DC4) and the only one weve seen be mentally based is in DC5 between Alec and Tom, i think its safe to assume this one would be more physical. And in a physical challenge, i think Karol both has the drive and stamina to come out ahead. Even though Riya is here to help support Connor, given how he dropped out with two weights in the DCAS truth challenge, and how i think Karol would have the drive to win this challenge(and beat Connor in a physical "challenge" in the original when they were running to the teams), im gonna give Karol the win. Connor says goodbye to everyone, apologising to Rosa and giving a parting word to Riya and Maggy to help push them forward.

Episode 10: Since originally Hunter tried to form an alliance with both Rosa and Riya, i think hed try and form an alliance with Maggy and Rosa since Maggy is his friend and Rosa was his first choice. They likely accept since they need numbers and they both like him. As for Riya and Karol, they would also try and get Hunter on side since they know they need to vote together to secure a majority. This puts Hunter in the middle, having a confessional of "when did i become Mr Popular??". For the challenge, given Hunters already exceptional performance, and the fact hes now the swing vote, i think he wins the challenge. For the vote, Maggy and Rosa probably vote Karol as they can understand Riyas moves as strategic plays, as she never did something undeniably terrible(Given Connor stayed for as long as he did, and she never got massively influenced by Karol, she wouldnt have gone nearly as far down as in canon). Riya and Karol probably vote Rosa, since they know by this point Hunter has a friendship with Maggy. Between the two sides, i think Hunter falls on Rosa. This is primarily because, early into the season, Hunter felt fine being in an alliance with Yul despite how nasty he was, so i dont think Hunter is above playing the game, and considering if he goes to the finale with Maggy and Rosa, hed be in a 2v1 situation. And since Hunter doesnt have as close an attachment to Rosa as he does to Maggy, i think he would vote her. This sends Rosa home 3-2, much to the shock of Maggy.

Episode 11: Maggy would be a little disheartened over Hunter betraying her, and Hunter would mention how it wasnt personal, but because hes not socially good, hed say it in a weird way, but Maggy eventually forgives him. Meanwhile, Karol would be talking to Riya about getting one of Hunter or Maggy on side against the other, since going into a tiebreaker with either would be hard to win, so i imagine Riya would go to Hunter to turn him against Maggy. Hunter would not be receptive to this but would agree anyways to get Riya to leave him alone. For the challenge, given i think Riya would tell her Hunter agreed to vote out Maggy, i think Karol would sabotage Maggy, giving Riya conflicted feelings and Hunter to go back and help her. Because of this, the order is likely Riya gets first and gets the Watermelons, Karol gets second and gets the Pineapples, Maggy gets third as i assume Hunter would let her after the sabotage and gets Grapefruits(James backed out originally so i assume since Maggy would be competing she gets a fruit between the size of whatever Aiden has originally and Pineapples), and finally Hunter gets whatever Aiden had originally. Given Riya couldnt win with the Watermelons in canon, theres no way shes winning here. I think Maggy and Karol would be distracted arguing with each other during the challenge, and this would be where Karol explains that Hunter was willing to vote her out, which shocks Maggy. Hunter tries to explain thats not true but Maggy doesnt believe him given he voted out Rosa and Lake. Between the other three, i dont think Hunter would win, considering he was here originally with better ammo and didnt. Between Maggy and Karol, i dont know whos more likely to win, but since Maggy is taking Aidens role of having secrets revealed, i can see Nina taking the opportunity to make fun of Maggy and for Maggy to get her, giving Maggy immunity. Considering Maggy was told that Hunter was planning to betray her, i think Maggy votes Hunter, believing he was going to betray her after how she helped him. Hunter would vote Karol for revealing this and ruining his friendship with Maggy. Karol would vote Hunter for obvious reasons. Finally, Riya is hard to decide. But considering shes been "corrupted" in a sense by Karol without Connor here as a counterbalance, and originally viewed Hunter as the biggest threat left, i think she votes him. This gives Hunter 3 votes and the elimination. Maggy then walks Hunter out and forgives him if he did try to. Hunter says he didnt and never planned to, and Maggy finally believes him as he has no reason to lie given hes now out.

Episode 12: Supporting Maggy would be Hunter, Tess, Ally, Kai, Rosa, Lake and Aiden. Supporting Riya would be Connor and James. Supporting Karol would be Yul. For the helpers, Maggy would probably pick Rosa, Riya would pick Connor, and Karol would be stuck with Yul. For the first part of the challenge i think Connor and Riya take the early lead like in canon, except without Riya playing dirty as she hasnt experienced anyone do that up until Karols exposure of Hunter, which isnt enough for me to think Riya would turn evil. Second would probably be Maggy and Rosa solely because i think Yul wouldnt be the best helper, until Karol tells him that if she helps her win, hed be depriving it from Maggy, which Yul is all for. Thus, during the driving portion, Yul takes Riyas role of crashing the car into Maggy, who crashes back and Maggy and Rosa take the lead over Karol and Yul. For the climbing portion, since Riya and Connor are ahead they very likely manage to secure the first spot in the finale, with Riya jumping off as Maggy and Karol are midway through the climbing section. Karol, similar to Riya, would throw a rock at Maggy with Yuls encouragement, causing Maggy to lose her balance and fall, meaning Karol reaches the second part first, eliminating Maggy much to Yuls pleasure. After this, Yul bales on Karol, not wanting to help her anymore.

Episode 13: Supporters of Riya are now everyone except Yul. Supporters of Karol are just Yul. Given Riya now has Connor and probably a massive head start over Karol(about as much of a head start as she had in the original over James), she definitely exits the cave as Karol enters. Yul would be the only person able to step up against Riya, whereas pretty much anyone can step up against Karol, but ill choose James because he hasnt got a chance to really do anything. Since Yul would obviously not want Riya to win, he would fire a lot at her, making Riya fall off her bike at parts. Due to this, Karol is able to catch up, until Aiden tells James what he told Lake in canon, to hit the gun, enabling Karol to be pelted with golf balls, and thus, giving Riya an opening to win the season. So Karol gets 2nd and Riya wins.

Obviously this what if was going to change a lot, but this was fun to do. Im not sure i handled everything correctly(cough cough Hunter voting Rosa) but i tried my best. Hope you enjoyed!
