Hey yall, I’ve been wanting to do RV life since 2021 but haven’t had the courage to fully go through with it yet. I’m 24 and a massage therapist, and I’ve thought about continuing massage while on the road. I specialize in geriatric and prenatal massage, which I genuinely enjoy, and I feel like retired communities could really love that.

My biggest concern is income. Do most people doing RV life still have remote jobs, or is it realistic to make enough through mobile services/businesses while traveling? Remote jobs seem impossible to get lately.

Also, for anyone familiar with campground/RV park rules — are you usually allowed to operate a mobile massage business while staying there, or does it depend on the park/state? I already carry professional liability insurance, but I’m curious how other traveling business owners handle it.

And one more thing: I keep hearing mixed opinions about Ram vans and a lot of people saying they’re unreliable. For solo RV life, what do you guys think about 2026 Thor motorcoach 19z or other RV/van options for one
