I am awful for buying things on a whim but I’ve wanted a C2 for 6 months now and we finally found the space and money for it.
HOWEVER! We are buying a used one off FB Marketplace. There are no PM5 options right now but it seems like C2 Rowers pop up frequently.
My current options are:
White Model E – PM4 – $900 CAD
- Firmware: 304
- Hardware: 241
- Build date: 2008 (Not sure if this is the monitor or the rower)
- Lifetime metres: 75,771White Model D – PM3 – $900 CAD
- Firmware: 304
- Hardware: 222
- Build date: 2008 (Not sure if this is the monitor or the rower)
- Lifetime metres: 142,041
Budget is $1000. A PM5 was sold a few days ago for $950 near me.
From what I understand, the machine itself lasts basically forever and the main difference is the monitor (PM3 vs PM4 vs PM5). I’d ideally want PM5 for phone connectivity and long term stat tracking, but none are available right now.
So I’m stuck between:
- grabbing one of these now (and maybe upgrading to PM5 later), or
- waiting it out for a used PM5 to show up
Are either of these worth $900? Or should I just be patient?
