[Help] Diorama making: What is the best clay to get started with?

Hello, I've been thinking of getting into diorama making. I've been learning blender but I also want to try my hand at traditional clay sculpting for my dioramas, something like North of the border or Jack Jack creator would do. I was wondering what the best kind of clay for an amateur just getting started or is curious about it to start off with was. I know sculpey is the go to but that dries and becomes permanent or is baked to do so, is that the best way to start or should I go with something infinitely reusable until I get the hang of what I'm trying to do? And what other sort of advice for this kind of sculpting would you recommend if any? What kind of tools are best for getting started with it and what tools can wait until I'm more sure that I'm going to keep doing this hobby?

This is a question for those of you who have done Brotherhood playthroughs, I haven't but I want to soon, I just want to finish the dlc first. Did your character save synth Shaun or did they not? If they didn't what was your characters reasoning? Were they disgusted with this 'thing' masquerading as your son or were they just overwhelmed with the situation? And those whos character did save him, what was their reasoning? How did they reason to protect this synth and destroy others, do they see him as their son? Are they ashamed of them and stick them in a bastard tower or do they love them openly and hide the fact they are a synth?

This is a heavy RP post, you can post your irl reasoning if that applies but please don't bicker in the comments if you disagree with somebodies characters reasoning. This is a video game and an rpg at that, we do evil playthroughs from time to time so remember that please.

Hey I made a post the other day about painting, and I got a set of zombie miniatures to start. Wanted to do a diorama with them and got them on a 50% discout, think I realize why when I got them out of the box. Other than being extremely niche as zombies in a hobby store these have got to be the tiniest miniatures I have ever seen. My eyes struggle to focus on any detail on them even with my glasses on. Is working at this scale a bad Idea for starting out? Should I just go online and buy a larger set of zombies?

I’m looking to get into diorama making and was looking into what paint is best to use on figures, miniatures and decor? I know they make dedicated paints for miniatures and dioramas but is it worth it or necessary to buy these for your first few projects?

I have a bulk of acrylic paint I picked up some years back from another artist and was wondering if it could be used or modified to work with diorama and miniature painting? Also what are the best paints and options out there for miniature and diorama painting? I’ve seen people use air brushes to paint certain things. For reference I’m a big fan or North of the border and Jack Jack creator on YouTube. Also a fan of Miniature Hobbyist and Boylie Hobby Time.

I'm looking to get back into Fo4 and do a minuteman playthrough and I found out Orphans of the commonwealth is nuked. Is there another mod that does the same thing?
