Little backstory, I am a Marine Corps infantry veteran, and was going to go to Divers institute in Seattle when I first got out of the military, but I changed my mind last minute and went to welding school instead. I’ve been working full time as a welder for awhile now but I’m tired of the shop life it’s pretty boring to me, I’ve always had an interest in commercial diving. I currently make around 65,000 a year as a welder and was wondering what I would be looking at as a first year tender pay wise? And if it would be a good career change?
