I'm worked in the private sector for over 10 years, most recently in tech roles and I enjoy research but its not my main job function. I've done a research heavy degree and have element of research in my role. I'm looking to pivot in a research role in the civil service. I've found a lot of the recruitment is geared towards graduates and apprenticeships but there's not a lot of information for career switchers. Has anyone changed careers into a civil service role? Or does anyone have any useful information?
