Associate no-shows/doesn’t call for over a week
I work on the service desk and a woman that I work with called in over a week ago and said she was in the hospital and wasn’t coming to work that day. She has not shown up again since then (8 days) and has not called in. She lives with her daughter and her daughter hasn’t called in either. Her name has not been put on the call-out log for any of these days. She did the same thing several months ago and nothing happened. She is old and sickly and I think managers feel sorry for her. Just wondering——- do no shows/no calls get recorded somewhere? Will she be fired for this? I don’t want to ask anyone about it at work. I’m just trying to stay in my own lane. But I am curious if there is policy on this.
