Hi all, hoping to get some advice! My male ferret was desexed today, he recovered really well and is back home resting… well, meant to be.
It seems Mr Tofu’s painkillers are in fact working, as he will not stop trying to play since he’s come home! We’re just as thrilled as he is to have him back after a strangely quiet day at home, but he is meant to be resting and protecting the incision area!
His roommate Miso isn’t helping either, since on any other day she’d be neutral to have him around – Today she is obsessed with him and also wants to celebrate his return.
This in turn is creating a tornado of ferreting around the house with us chasing after him trying to get him to go to sleep!
We don’t cage our ferrets but they have their own ferret-safe room. All climb-able furniture has been removed, but that won’t stop him from war dancing into the walls!
TLDR: Male ferret is VERY playful after recovering from desexing. I can’t keep him still.
