Advice on buyers agent
This post is for advice on agent representation and what is customary or expected.
Is it normal for a buyers agent to only use text messages as a form of communication with all the sellers agents- even for a house we put an offer on?
We just put in a revised offer on a home we really want and our buyers agent admitted to us that she has never called this sellers agent- only texted them- even though we had our first offer rejected by the seller.
We asked our agent to call this sellers agent- and they have not, even for our revised offer. I would like some advice on if that is normal or not.
The reason I am asking for advice is because if this offer goes through, we would use this same agent as our sellers agent for the sale of our current home. Are we going to run into issues with using an agent who does not call agents- even when we asked them to make a verbal phone call to get more info?
