Setting the stage;
It has been many years since I have done this type of design and I am working in a limited black box space with a cross over behind the cyc, and 2 sets of wings.
I am currently do not believe there is any dance on stage so I do not need booms in the wings. The building is historic so power is an issue.
I am curious on if this makes sense in making the plot as diverse as it can be.
The whole stage has the option of Cool, or Warm wash, with open white as additional front lights, Cyc has RGB, and in the wings there are additional lights to add additional mood with a purple or another color. Box booms have 1 gobo each providing texture to the stage. There are no LED's in use nor scrollers.
Down Stage has extra lights for more intimate performances allowing some audience light for crowd work, as well as solo artists whom may not use the whole stage. Ie comedy, magic, instrumentalist. Additional light is to provide some more utility to where I think some more of the action will be occurring.
Question:
Does this make sense so far? I have little experience with Magic, comedy and some other solo acts. and I am approaching this from some experience with musicians.
