Boomer at the cashier
This was probably about a year ago at a Trader Joe's. I ran in for just 1 or 2 items and went to the shortest checkout lane. One person in front of me, a boomer lady. She was already done having her items rung up and was trying to find something to pay with. She kept stopping and chatting with the cashier while looking through a massive purse. The cashier was just being nice and doing their job while looking at me like, sorry this is taking forever. It was a far longer wait than any of the other longer lines and the boomer lady knew it too. When she finally paid she just had to say something to me, I think cuz she knew it took forever. She turns to me and says "Has anyone ever told you you look just like... like... like, oh I forget their name, but has anyone ever told you you look like them?". I honestly had no idea how to even respond. I just said no, smiled, and and got out of there asap to run home and tell my wife. How would you have responded?
