how much emphasis does the ultra running community put on elevation?

sup everyone, i recently just completed my very first trail race on Mount Rinjani in Indonesia. i completed the 27km category which included 1800m of elevation

i saw a tiktok of someone mentioning that for every 100m of elevation, you can calculate an additional 1km of distance... so in this case my total effort was actually 27+18 = 45km

i know it's not officially an ultra but does this still get the same level of "respect" if you guys get what i mean?
