I’m currently being told I have to wear my hair up at some more formal weddings that we have coming up. I have never thought once about wearing my hair down as unprofessional. Is this a common opinion? My hair is curly with curly bangs and just barely touches my shoulders I literally always wear it down because it doesn’t look good in a pony and doesn’t reach a bun. I feel like I’m a creative and having to be in a certain all black hair back uniform is wild. But maybe I’m just out of the loop here? I’d like to add when my hair is down it listens better than when I try to do anything with it. When it was longer and I would slick it back or try anything with it I would end up having to fuss with it during the day. When it’s down it stays cute.
Edit: thank you everyone. I just wasn’t sure if I missing something or not but I can see it’s not unprofessional but a brand preference. I liked someone’s suggestion of “dressing” my hair.
