Shady vendor experiences
Hi all. I just wanted to get a temperature check on what other people are experiencing after having some “interesting” moments happen to me when ordering food/drinks at the stadium.
I’ve had the vendors pull some shady behavior on me in what felt like trying to get more money. On one occasion, I saw the register person swiveling the POS back to them for every customer and tapping the 35% tip option so it would be the default before turning it back to the customer.
On another, I tried ordering a beer from one of bars in the bleachers and had the bartender immediately start chatting me up more than “normal”. I then looked down at the POS and it had been rung up at $35 for my $18 beer. I asked if there was an error and they immediately apologized saying they must have entered in wrong on their side.
I’m not showing up to these vendors trashed out of my mind or acting a fool, just trying to order another item and get back to my seat before I miss any action. I also have never experienced any of this when visiting any other stadium.
Am I just experiencing bad luck, honest mistakes, or have others here encountered some vendor behavior that is almost borderline thievery?
