I decided to do a grocery run this morning to get some needed items but the entire entrance to my subdivision was blocked by the county working on the road. There are 3 ways out of my rural neighborhood.

1. The main entrance-blocked

2. The river-I don’t own a boat

3. A road that goes in the opposite direction of town and you would have to backtrack for several miles

I had to go down 4 miles and back up 4 miles to get to the store that should have been a 7 mile trip. On the long way back I saw people coming from my neighborhood looking as angry as I felt. I’m glad I didn’t need to be anywhere at all certain time. All they had to do was leave one lane open while working on the other side.
