Lights in question:
S6 in stainless steel stonewash, B35AM 4500k from Simon. Gotta say I love the warmer tint compared to my previous 5700k. Threw on a blue button, 3D printed finger shelf, and a N52 ring magnet just for fun. Glad to see it can hold it's literal weight!
S7 in stainless steel stonewash, LHP531 5000K, 3V 10A driver. I used the 18650 tube from the S6 because it looked better. This thing is kind of scary to use. I really built it for the wow factor. Way too heavy and a burning hazard but fun to whip out. The tint is quite nice too. Tried to braid some kind of loop out of twine.
C8+ in green, black steel bezel, LHP73B, 3V 20A driver. I debated whether I wanted to do this with the S7 body. Logic and laziness prevailed as I didn't want to jury right the reflector to fit. I still wanted to make some mistakes with a 20A driver though so this was a good compromise. Bright as hell and the tint is nice at higher levels. I found it wasn't as nice as the LHP531.
My usual carry is between my previous S7 and this new S6 as the B35AM limited to 50% is still plenty bright without heating up the body too quickly. I think the deeper S6 reflector actually works better for the B35AM.
Finally interesting thought: the stainless steel tube threads weren't rectangular...
