For reference I am currently on a pretty beat up IdeaPad 3, it can run a decent chunk of games but im looking for a little extra freedom and FPS, not to mention the battery life is next to nothing without power saving.
Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: 2000 AUD
- Are you open to refurbs/used? Yeah, considering its a reliable source
- How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? I dont really care about form factor but I want the best performance and battery possible
- How important is weight and thinness to you? Not really important
- Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A
- Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. FL Studio, DaVinci Resolve
- If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? I want to play most games on medium or low at a solid 40-80 FPS
- Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? A decent keyboard and decent storage
- Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. I prefer windows, I may try linux eventually, MacOS and ChromeOS are a heavy no no.
