Location: Canada (my spouse is American)
Long story short my husband and I decided to separate. It’s amicable ect ect. We have no shared assets, have never lived together, have no children and have no debt. He has no permanent resident paperwork for Canada and I don’t have any permanent resident stuff for America. We literally have completely separate lives aside from the fact that we are legally married. We got married in Canada so I’m under the assumption it’s up to me to get everything sorted for him to be served. Just kind of lost looking for the easiest way for us to get this all sorted out in the eyes of the government. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance.
