1995 70-200 is still great!

Got a new lens today! I do lots of car photography (lots of panning) and I have a massive Sigma 150-600 for wildlife. But it's way too heavy and zoomed in on my R7 (240mm). I decided on a 70-200 and I found a deal for the original f2.8 for only $600USD. Although it was released 31 years ago.. it does incredible. Since I pan at 1/50 most of the time, I don't use the h+ at 15fps and sharpness is just a hair behind my Sigma. AF is insanely quick for a lens made in 95' on a mirrorless body. So if anyone is on a budget, I can recommend this one. Only downsides is that you can't use H+ mode (it maxes out at 8-10fps) and it has no weather sealing. Other than that.. worth 600 bucks!

Here are some shots of my dog I got with it

This is a repost because the mods removed the first one.

Canon EF 70-200 1995 on an R7?

I do motorsports panning photography and I use the Canon R7. I also use the big Sigma 150-600 for wildlife + panning but I find 150 with a crop too much. I've decided on a 70-200 but never figured out which one. In a few days I plan on buying the EF 70-200 f2.8 L USM (Non-IS from 1995) for only $600USD. It's in mint condition and MPB has those for almost 1,000USD excellent condition. I know it'll cap out at like 8-10 fps but I do panning at 1/50 and lower so I don't need it. Is it compatible with my facy AF on the R7? Like the eye and car tracking modes

This is a repost - I bought the lens

I just decided to come to reddit because I wanted to.. I'm in the middle of a bunch of shows getting more seasons in the future and I'm bored.. I need to watch another show. I'm stuck between 3.

- Monster (2009) - psychological, dark, evil, and apparently great plot

- Violet Evergarden - chill, sad, and peaceful mixed together.. need one if those shows soon

- Jack of All Trades, Party of None - nice new action anime I want to get in to.

I do automotive photography.. especially a lot of panning and I currently have a 150-600 for wildlife and I find 150 (240mm on apsc) too much at times. I figured out all the older f2.8s slow down my fps. Then I don't really want the f4 because I prefer a wider aperture. Does thr R7 + f2.8ii go well together? I've also considered the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 sports for the EF mount. It's very heavy though. The f2.8ii is about 3.25lbs.. a whole pound lighter than my 150-600 so I don't really care about that.

I need some help on lens recommendations. I've done my research but want some answers from people. I shoot on the Canon R7 + Sigma 150-600 at a smaller drift event. I find that 150mm (240mm on my R7) is too much zoom. At times it's nice but I'm stuck with close ups. I want a 70-200 and I don't know which one to get. I've heard good things about all of them but can't decide.

- Canon EF 70-200 f/4 IS (2006) - my perfect budget

- Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS (2001) - seems too old but I wouldn't mind having f/2.8

- Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS ii (2010) - most expensive but it's the best. I have a budget of like $700USD

- Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 (old or new Sports model)
