Should I keep doing “land banking” or put everything into SPY?

I own these in the capital city of the country that has the second biggest military in NATO after USA.

  1. Agricultural land. It is near organized industrial zone. That area is growing. If it grows enough, they will buy my land.

  2. Residential land. I’ll get 3-4 large flats eventually for my shares. Currently municipality or some politicians are preventing development in the area.

  3. Residential land but currently its zoning is not finished. I’ll get probably 3 large flats.

I’ve been holding for 1.5 decades.

I’m getting old. I can move my funds to US equities and withdraw 4% which equals to average salary in countries that I like being in. Let’s call that x $ per month

Or I can be patient. Second land alone would give me 2X from rental yield eventually. Could happen in 4 years. Totally up to politicians.

I was really hoping for rates to go down so I could sell some for maybe 1.5-2x but the opposite happened.

It also feels a bit stressful owning stuff in this county but could be better than owning US equities as a foreign non resident after trump. 🤷‍♂️ then there’s also the “empires last 250 years” story. The stuff ray dalio keeps talking about
