Me and my husband are wanting to move out and break our lease to move back home near my family since things are getting to hard away from a support system however, we rented from a really shitty company that has TONS of bad reviews (the only good ones are ones they paid for)and I really don’t want to pay out the ass for it. We want to move around 3 months before our lease ends and the contract stipulates that for an early termination:
Give thirty (30) days written notice to vacate the property via the Tenant Portal. Written notices outside of the portal will only be accepted if they contain the Tenant's name, Tenant's unit address, date of the notice, date of vacating, the reason for vacating and forwarding address, AND
The security deposit is forfeited, Early cancellation fee ($50) is charged, AND
Rent must be paid through the expiration of the original lease unless the PMC finds an acceptable tenant to sign a new lease. Please note that if a property has multiple vacant units at one time, those without an early terminated lease will be rented first.
You are responsible for all utilities through new Tenant move in date.
Any unpaid rent or damages owed due to early termination will be collected through a court of law, if necessary
I know there is a bathroom light out and the carpet’s probably need a deep clean as there were stains when we moved in but realistically how much should I prepare having to pay.
Any and all advice is appreciated
thank you
