Advice on new car
Looking for recommendations on a new car as mine is on death's door at this point. I'm looking to buy used for mid to low $20k but definitely less than $30k USD. Looking for an efficient hybrid at least but open to EV options as well.
Main use will be for a 40 mile commute round trip. But having something with a hatchback that is suitable for longer range travel and camping trips (without being too big) would be a big bonus to me. The Hyundai Ioniq was originally a top pick for me but I think at this point I'm too spooked by the ICCU issues. I've been driving a 2015 Hyundai Elantra and am well aware of how backed up the dealers in my area are for loaner vehicles, so it isn't worth the risk to me.
The Kia Niro hybrids also seemed like a reasonable choice, particularly the PHEV. Although I'm not sure if the PHEV being discontinued will make for any concerns with maintenance going forward?
