Has Qatar Airways cut down on 94k Avios awards from the US to DOH?

I’ve been monitoring award space for US → DOH in business all the way through April 4, 2027 using Qatar’s Privilege Club search.

Historically, the standard Peak savor rate has been 94,500 Avios one-way, but right now I’m seeing 140,000 Avios for EVERY date from April–April 2027. I cannot find ANY 94.5k rates.

Surely, their “peak season” can’t be this long all the time. Are these some higher tier saver awards that’ll be the new normal saver price going forward?

Is anyone else noticing this trend?

•Has Qatar tightened Saver/peaksavor (70k-94.5k) availability that far out?
•Or are they just not loading regular/peak Saver space much anymore?

Would love to hear what others are seeing or if this is part of a broader pattern of reduced Saver inventory.

Chase Saphire Reserve Journey

Turning 18 next month, Here are the stats

  • Perfect history on 10 year old and 4 year old card (authorized user)
  • 45k yearly salary
  • Living with parents (no rent)

I am responsible, I treat credit cards like debit cards, I pay my statement balance on time every month.

My ultimate goal is to get a Chase Saphire Reserve because I want to book cheap international flights (my mom is a frequent flier and I want to make it more affordable for her *she has a bad credit score*)

Here is what I am thinking

  1. Start with Chase Freedom Rise

  2. Get a credit limit increase after 6 months

  3. Get Chase Freedom Unlimited/Saphire Preferred

  4. Get Chase Saphire Reserve

How does the realistic timeline look for this? With

  • 1-10% utilization
  • Paying statement balance Large balance in Chase checking

When can I hope to get the Saphire reserve?

Where should I move?

Turning 18 in a few months and I’m ready to pursue a career as an electrician, my only problem is in my research, there’s a lot of conflicting information.

I live in Houston TX, so my local is 716, the only problem is the pay is rough and I’m stuck for 5 years.

I am open to moving anywhere that offers better financial security and a consistent amount of work.

I want more money, meaning more money in my savings, not being canceled out by cost of living or state taxes.

What is the state/ city that is often recommended for my situation?

How long can I expect to wait? What should be my career path for now

Also, is an irrational fear of cockroaches going to be a big deal when working for a union?
