Cleaning up 401k holdings
I wanted some advice on my 401k breakdown. I am lucky in that my employer gives me the option to fully self manage my own 401k, from stocks to ETFs or mutual funds.
Deciding on whether to keep with my current holdings or redistribute.
Mutual Funds:
-SWPPX (Schwab S&P500) 40%
-SWTSX (Schwab total stock market) 30%
-SWYJX (Schwab 2055 TDF) 6%
ETF:
VXUS: 23%
Considering consolidating SWPPX and SWTSX for one or the other and just selling my original SWYJX (this was before I learned about Bogelheads)
Bigger question I had was do I keep VXUS or sell for SWISX for the auto-investing? I hear there is a foreign tax credit for VXUS (which I am starting to buy in my normal brokerage)? This i sonly if VXUS is in a taxable brokerage correct?
For context I am in my early 30s and plan to add Bonds in my late 40s/early 50s
