Moving to the us as a EASA B1.1 technician

Hello! I’m currently finishing the first year of a two-year AMT program in Sweden. My long-term goal is to move to the U.S., specifically Utah, since I have relatives there.

I’m wondering how realistic it is to get a job with one of the major airlines as an international applicant. From what I understand, you need 30 months of practical experience before you can take the A&P exams and obtain your license.

Has anyone here gone through this process or made a similar move from Europe to the U.S.? I’d really appreciate any advice about licensing, work visas, building experience, or getting hired by the majors.
