Our pool closes all but 2 lanes for kids during certain times of the day. When the 2 lanes are highly desired it is requested we swim in circles. Should we all be keeping the same pace? Do we let the person get half a length ahead before starting our length? Is it okay to try to pass a swimmer by momentarily getting in the other lane? My first circle swim was today and it felt like nobody was on the same page. I was doing a steady pace. 2 guys were apparently prepping for the 50 M Olympic qualifiers, and one swimmer was fairly new to swimming.
