Memoir is difficult genre. It seems to me that the fallibility of memory and the ego of the writer make almost all memoir essentially a work of fiction. Still, what would make you throw a memoir in the garbage? What would compel you to read a memoir? And how the hell do you write a good memoir? Any advice on writing something of value in this genre?
