Statisticians of Reddit, I need your help!

A friend and I were at a bar recently when we got onto the topic of attraction. Specifically, we discussed the gap between how attractive we think we are and how others would actually rate us.

We decided the only honest way to find out if we had bloated egos was to ask strangers to rate us. Some field studies in the bar revealed that one of us indeed overestimated his looks, while the other suffered from low self-esteem (limited sample size, but you get the point). We got curious whether this gap is universal, or whether most people have a pretty accurate read on themselves.

We discussed how to answer this question and landed on creating a research experiment. Because we're nerds, we bought some pizzas and spent the following night building a website for the purpose. It allows strangers to rate each other's looks (you rate, you get rated) with the goal of collecting enough responses to fill out cool charts on the topic.

The page went live yesterday and have already gotten a decent amount of data (over 8000 ratings across 60 photos). I've compiled the numbers into some charts in the stats page. I think it's an interesting read for most of you!

Before I distribute the link more, I want help on improving the statistics page. Any feedback on what's already there? Any suggestions on charts that would be interesting to see?

We decided the only honest way to find out if we had bloated egos was to ask strangers to rate us. Some field studies in the bar revealed that one of us indeed overestimated his looks, while the other suffered from low self-esteem (or just modesty). We got curious whether this gap is universal, or whether most people have a pretty accurate read on themselves.

So, friends on Reddit... do you want to quantify the gap in your self-perception? I'll send you an email with the results. Nothing will be posted publicly, except statistics once we have a decent sample size. If you're down, check it out here (there's also a stats page with cool graphics you can drool over):
