Owing interest after release of lein.
I paid off my car, went through final payment steps and the lender, credit acceptance, released the lein to me and I have the title. They say I still owe about 6k in interest and it is messing with my credit as missed payments accrue on this number. Is this right? I've read that once the lein is released, a lender is saying all debt has been settled and they are no longer due anything. What steps can I take to fix this?
