I have an indian passport, with a US tourist visitor visa. I live in India. I applied for a Canadian visitor visa in india, 3 months ago and I have gotten no information (no responses to emails or web forms) other than a “processing” status online. My cruise starts May 24th, and I leave for the US in a week. Any advice?
Can anyone confirm my understanding below based on recent experiences? Thank you!
- From everything I see online, it looks like I need a visitor visa (ETA not sufficient) even to board the cruise ship in Seattle, since it stops in Victoria British Columbia (even if I don’t disembark there).
- Visitor visa needs to be stamped on the passport, is that right? What if an approval comes after I leave for the US, will I need to somehow get my indian passport stamped in the US at a Canadian consulate, in a matter of days?
