Im 19, 5’4, 140 pounds, i do not smoke nor do i have any medical history regarding stomach issues. I was taking cephalexin 500mg for 3 days for a supposed UTI which ended up not being a UTI but skin irritation. I stopped the medication last night. i woke up feeling very tired, then as the day went on my stomach was hurting a lot like i need to poop, but i didnt. i also felt very nauseous throughout the day. The second day of the meds i noticed i felt very bloated as well. I notice the pain mostly in my abdomen, and it feels like pressure or like trapped gas, but passing gas or using the bathroom doesnt help. Are these normal side affects and if so, how long do the usually last after stopping medication?

I dont usually get like this before a period, but every time i stand up i get super nauseous. i also feel shaky like im anxious. This doesnt usually happen, and the only thing i can think of is i was taking cephalexin for a UTI and i stopped the meds today, now my body is reacting to stopping the meds. Does anyone else have this issue ever?

So yesterday i started Cephalexin 500mg every 6 hours for a UTI. My only symptom is burning here and there. not when i pee, just randomly. I noticed after the second dose of the cephalexin the burning wasn’t noticeable. i forgot to wake up at 3am for the fourth dose. I took it again about an hour ago and ive noticed the burning again. How long does cephalexin usually take to start working against a UTI? Ive also noticed the more i think about it the worse it is, so i might be making it worse than it really is. My UTI strip test i took yesterday said my pH is normal, no Nitrites, but a trace of Leukocytes.
