I’m trying to understand what teams actually use when spreadsheets or basic calendars stop working for resource scheduling.
For people managing multiple projects, shared team members, changing availability, and workload conflicts, which tools have worked well in real day-to-day use?
I’ve seen tools like eResource Scheduler, Float, Runn, Resource Guru, and Saviom mentioned, but websites all make them sound good. I’m more interested in what felt useful after a few months of actual use.
Things I’m curious about:
- How easy it is to update schedules
- Whether overload is easy to spot
- Capacity planning before taking new work
- Planned vs actual tracking
- Timesheets
- Reporting for managers
Which tool would you honestly keep using, and which one looked good at first but didn’t work well later?
