Hi everyone,

I'm a 26 year old male who's looking to run next year's London Marathon and would love some advice on how best to get an entry. It looks like around 2 million people have entered the ballot so I don't have high hopes of getting an entry through this.

I could aim for a championship entry which means I'd have to run under 71:30 for a half before end of September. I've previously run sub 15 for 5k, 31 for 10k and 74 for a half marathon so running 71:30 could be possible but I'm currently very unfit and only have ~5 months to get into shape.

My questions are:

- Is the championship entry my best bet? If so, what are the fastest/ flattest half marathon races in September (doesn't have to be in the UK)?

- Is Good For Age worth trying too?

- How easy is it to get a spot through charity?

Thanks!
