i arrived at my new job and it was so obvious that a lot of the employees knew each other. it is not a big company, there’s just under 200. how do you all integrate yourself into a new seasonal space, especially when a large majority of people already know each other from previous seasons? this was a fear of mine as i knew they had a decent return rate, but its way more than i expected. ive seen vastly more people who are returnees, vs being new, such as myself. i’m shy as it is and it’s even more difficult to meet new people when they’re in a group of friends who already know each other; it’s intimidating.
i’m really trying to push myself this year in terms of socializing. this is my first time ever doing seasonal work and there is a lot that’s unexpected, but i’d really like to make some friends, or at least one.
