homeless veteran
I posted this in r/Veterans and it was taken down in under 5 minutes. I’m NOT asking or will take anything from anyone reading this. 20M. Got out March 31st after being medically separated primarily for MDD and psychosis. After a moral disagreement with my mother about a sibling’s wellbeing, I was kicked out yesterday so im living in my jetta as of 2026/05/14. Currently sleeping in parking lots with my boxes and my rifle. I’ve already contacted VR&E and my VA compensation is in effect, I just need help surviving until the end of the month. I have around $28 and $500 on credit card (i bought my car 2 weeks ago). I’ve been to multiple apartment complexes and I’m having a hard time finding one with a sub $500 deposit. The homeless vet program isn’t really useful in my case, it’s one of those just “one night” places and that wouldn’t do anything but waste my gas. Again, not asking for anything but advice on how to live.
