GEPRC Vapor D5 DOA from factory - scorched FC chip on first smoke stopper test - anyone else experience this?
Brand new GEPRC Vapor D5 WTFPV, never powered on or flown. On first connection using a Vifly Short Saver 2 smoke stopper it confirmed a short. Inspection revealed a visibly scorched chip on the FC.
GEPRC has been difficult to deal with, initially denying it was a quality issue and blaming battery misuse — impossible since full battery voltage never reached the board.
Two questions for the community:
1. Has anyone else experienced factory defects with GEPRC quads straight out of the box?
2. Is there anyone in the Lexington/Columbia SC area who does FC/ESC diagnostics and repair on freestyle quads?
