Struggling with Progestin
Has anyone else with endometriosis struggled with progestin only pills? I had my first excision surgery 3 months ago. I am on my 3rd pack of Slynd and have been spotting every day. The pre-surgery type pain has improved but I'm still experiencing some cramping, bloating, burning, sex is still painful. (Despite being in pelvic floor pt, esting healthy, and exercising) I'm not sure if it's worth giving it another month. I also had bad side effects on norethindrone and depo provera before surgery. The combination pills worked for me for a few years until they didn't. But those few years were nice. I am worried about taking combination again since estrogen can contribute to endo growth, but I know it would probably still be better than nothing. I hear so many people with endometriosis have a great experience with progestin only bc & I feel like I'm the only one who is struggling with it. Has anyone else had this experience? Did combination pills work for you after excision surgery?
