I’m upgrading from my six-year-old 1440p 144Hz IPS LG monitor and I’m looking for an OLED gaming monitor. I’ve researched so many options this week it’s starting to overwhelm me. There seem to be endless trade-offs – if you want this feature you’ll have to sacrifice that one. I’ve narrowed it down to about three but even then I’m not sure which is the right choice.
I usually play RPGs and I’m currently hooked on Star Citizen but I’ll see how long that lasts. My office is fairly enclosed and I manage external light pretty well except for my partner’s 32-inch monitor behind me which might cause glare on a glossy screen.
My current options are:
- Asus ROG PG32UCDMR
- Asus ROG PG32UCDP
- Alienware AW3425DW (I’ve never had an ultrawide before and it looks fun)
My PC specs are:
- Nitro+ 9070 XT
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- 32GB RAM CL30 6000
- T500 NVMe
If anyone has any advice or suggestions I’d really appreciate it. Otherwise I’m just going to buy the first option and hope I don’t regret it.
