Hi all, just looking for any info/advice on traveling with a bike via amtrak. Reserved a spot for a fully assembled bike with my ticket purchase going to STL from CHI. First time doing this so I just don’t know what to expect other than to just get there early? Anyone with experience doing this have any tips or do’s and don’ts? More specifically is my beloved and (to me) expensive bike safe from damage/theft? It seems they load it on a separate cargo car and it’s a 5hr ride. Any info is greatly and humbly appreciated 🤙🙏🌞
