Hi folks! Total newbie here. I've made sense of what I could on my own, but now I could use some guidance.

I'm trying to take a pair of 100% cotton pants from sort of a coyote brown to a light grey (using Rit pearl grey).

The pics show the pants as they currently exist right now.

I used the Rit colour remover, one whole pack for this single pair of pants, but they only came down to this sort of pale yellow/tan.

Are these pants now light enough to take the grey dye effectively, or will they end up tinting it?

If I botch it, can I just start from scratch with a freah removal process?

Thank you so much for your help!
