Why is the sea warmer than the land in some parts of the world, while in others the opposite is true?
For example, I've noticed that in places like the Caribbean or the North Sea coast, the sea is much warmer than the land, while in other places like the coast of Mauritania or the Yellow Sea, the opposite is true.
Could you explain if there is a common phenomenon or just a bunch of isolated cases?
