Based on statements from several devs, including Jeb, and the “Minecraft is a multiverse book,” it seems that Minecraft‘s lore isn’t as set as I originally thought it was. Devs have said that Minecraft dungeons is as canon as you want it to be to your world: do you think it could have happened in your world. They have also said that Minecraft is a multiverse, so multiple interpretations of the lore are possible in different worlds, so we should be a bit less restrictive on one interpretation of the lore. People can have their own theories for their own worlds. this being said, I prefer to use all aplicable sources for my lore theories, so we will continue to use the word canon to mean that dungeons, legends, and rise of the arch illager all occurred. But in the future we will be more accepting of theories that don’t include them, but please state which sources you choose to draw from.
