These are the best photos I could get. I went to feed him at noon and he was normal. By 4 pm a chunk of his “chin”? seemed to have fallen out. He had no prior injuries or disease, he’s only 3 months old but he’s my second betta. My last betta lived to be over three years old so I know how to take care of them. Did he get injured? This injury was sudden, and what’s my best course of action? He is just laying in his log breathing slowly 🥺 do yall think he can recover?
