Hi, dear community! I'm a beginner singer in a band (for context, I've never sang live on stage, and never recorded professionally - but have been singing consistently for a year now in band practice, with private training and coaching). Things are moving and in a couple of weeks, I should hit a professional recording studio with a producer.

Experienced singers of reddit who have recorded with a producer in a studio: what practical tips helped you feel most prepared and comfortable? What should I consider? I deal with severe performance anxiety (recording, stage, etc) and know I'll be nervous as hell. I want to make sure I show up prepared, don't waste everyone's time and preferably, manage to produce any kind of quality sound without my out-of-control heartbeat, sweaty palms, spasming dry throat and nervous system damaging the entire experience!

Please no abstract advice like "Just stop overthinking". Let's keep it practical and actionable as much as possible for everyone here to benefit! Appreciate you all.
