Hi,

Appreciate this is the r/GarminWatches but thought I'd ask.

My forerunner 945 has at last died :(

Now looking at either a forerunner 255 or a coros pace 4.

Primarily running but do bike/swim and have done a few triathlons so multisport is ideal.

I want something small, don't need all the advanced features and don't want to break the bank. Both seem to have great battery life too which is ideal.

I have a Garmin edge bike computer so the forerunner would talk to that without a new app/system...does this really matter?

Anyway, thoughts? Anyone have any experience with either?

Hi,

My Garmin forerunner 945 has died. 4 years, 2 IM, 4 stand alone marathons, completed the London classics events and all the training that goes with it.

I'm torn between the Garmin forerunner 255 and coros pace 4.

I don't want to break the bank, I want something small and don't need lots of the premium features.

I have a Garmin edge bike computer and am familiar with Garmin but the coros looks good, small, great battery etc. Seems great value for money.

Any thoughts?

Hi all. Ran the London marathon on Sunday. What an experience!!! More importantly was the money raised for charity. To top it all off...a P.B.

I followed the beginners Hanson marathon method for this with a previous P.B. of 3:54 I was aiming for 3:30. I followed the plan really well. I missed 1 early week due to illness, otherwise I pretty much nailed the training for a time of 3:30.

Official chip time. 3:30:00!!! Unbelievable. I couldn't do it again if I tried 100x 😅.

Splits below. Top of zone 2/LT1 = 145bpm, top of zone 3/LT2 = 160bpm.

Any advice on what next, can I go faster? I feel like I raced this pretty perfectly and am very happy with it.
