I am thinking about selling my T7 and getting an R8 after getting used to my husbands R50. I would need to upgrade a lot of older glass.

Would the Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 be an okay stop gap? I want to pick up some primes and will get the 24mm 1.8 macro and 16mm 2.8 in time

I am going to likely keep my EF 50mm 1.8 and just use an adapter

My other option is to get an R7 and use the older glass for a while.

I do not plan on waiting for the mark II versions as there are some really sales on both bodies right now.
