Re training Ferber 9m old.
For context, we sleep trained my baby at six months with the Ferber method when he was in the pack and play in our room at eight months we transferred him to his crib in his own room and he did OK still. Around 8 1/half months we had a period of two weeks where he was waking up a few times a night prior to all of this sleeping through the night completely 12 or 13 hours now at nine months for the past three weeks he has been waking up 3 to 5 times a night sometimes even more he wakes up half an hour to an hour after I put him down and then every two hours from there I do give him one bottle in the middle of the night. He didn’t need that before trying to retrain further, but now he’s able to set up on his own and stand up in the crib so when I go in, he popped right back up. I’ll put him down sleeping or drowsy and most times he sits right up. More times than not he’ll the grab the crib rails and stand up and scream. I go in to do the Ferber checks and try to lay him down but he just pops back up right away. How do you retrain a baby who now is able to sit and stand? Tonight I went in and held his hands through the crib rails and he ended up finally falling asleep that way. He has 4 teeth already and his sleep didn’t change too much when he was cutting those.
