I skimmed the new 2026 to 2030 roadmap and it's almost entirely about economic benefits and science milestones, nothing about when any of this reaches the grid. With the price cap still sitting where it is and Ofgem reviews every quarter, it's hard to care about a project whose own targets don't promise electricity generation before 2030 at the earliest, probably well after. Has anyone seen a serious estimate for when STEP or another UK fusion project could realistically affect wholesale prices, not just technically generate electricity?
