Thinking About Switching to the Fully Online Isenberg BBA Program — Need Advice

Has anyone here transitioned from regular UMass Amherst into the fully online Isenberg BBA program?

I’m currently a UMass Amherst student with around 38 credits and a 3.4 GPA. I’ve been struggling a lot with the Amherst commute and dorm situation physically, mentally, and financially, so I started looking into the online Isenberg programs (especially OIM/Management).

I saw that it’s a real UMass Amherst/Isenberg degree and that many students are working adults, which honestly sounds much more realistic for my situation.

I was wondering:
- How difficult is it to get accepted as a current UMass student?
- How does FAFSA/financial aid work?
- How manageable is the workload while working?
- And overall, would you recommend it?

Any experiences or advice would really help. Thanks!

Can You Finish Most of Your UMass Amherst Degree Through Charles River Campus / UWW / Online Classes?

Hey everyone, I’m currently a UMass Amherst student living near Boston/Lynn, and the commute to Amherst has honestly become very difficult for me physically, mentally, and financially. I also realized dorm life really wasn’t a good fit for me, so I’ve been trying to look into alternative options.

I recently heard about the Charles River Campus (Mount Ida), UMass Flex/UWW, hybrid classes, and other Boston-area opportunities, and I was wondering how much of my remaining coursework could realistically be completed through those options while still graduating from UMass Amherst.

I’m open to online classes, internships/co-ops, summer courses, etc. My main goal is to reduce how often I need to go to Amherst while still staying on track academically.

Has anyone here done something similar or know how flexible UMass Amherst is with this? Any advice or experiences would really help. Thanks!
